JEE Main 2020 is scheduled to be held for the second time in 2020 between 1st September to 6th September. The admit card for the exam which was long due - was released on 17th of August and can be downloaded from the below direct link. The number of exam centres which have been planned for BE/BTech are 605. However, the number of exam centers for B.Arch and B.Planning are only 489. Based on the current data and information it is expected that over 8.5 Lakh students are slated to appear for the JEE Main 2020 Examination.
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main is a computer-based online test. It is held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students seeking to pursue undergraduate courses in the top engineering colleges in India. It is the first phase of the IIT Joint Entrance Exam. This exam is usually conducted in the month of January and April in two sessions. So, students can take the exam in their preferred month. The aspirants can also choose to appear for one exam or both the exams. The authority conducting this exam considers the better of two NTA scores in the preparation of the ranks/merit list.
On the basis of marks obtained in JEE Main, the students are given admission to IITs, NITs, CFITs, and other Government funded technical institutes. Candidates who have attained positions among the top 2.24 Lakh qualify to appear for JEE Advanced Exam.
Across different states in India, JEE Main is conducted for offering admissions at an undergraduate level in some of the best engineering and technical institutions funded and owned by the Government and Privately, respectively.

JEE Main Admit Card 2020 is usually released 15 days before the exam. The JEE-Main exam will be conducted from 1-6 September. Hence, the admit card was released on the 17th of August. The JEE Main admit card includes the details like name of the candidate, roll number, state of eligibility, and examination centre address.

JEE Main 2020 Date 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main exam 2020 between September 01 to 06 in online mode.
JEE Main Application Correction 2020: The authorities had re-opened the JEE Main 2020 application correction window from July 4 to July 15.
JEE Main Admit Card 2020: The admit cards are available 15 days before the exam. Based on the aforementioned information the admit card was released on August 17, 2020.
JEE Main Result 2020: The officials have yet not announced JEE Main 2020 results date. However, it is supposed to be released within days post the conduction of the exam. The result will be announced in online mode.

The answer key for JEE Main 2020 will be released in the online mode by NTA in the month of September 2020 as soon as the exam is completed. Officially the answer key will be released by the NTA in due course of time, however various national level coaching institutes will release their answer keys within 2-3 Hours of the completion of the JEE Main Exam.
JEE Main aspirants would be able to check their OMR Answer Sheet, Responses & Answer Key by logging into their account. They would be able to login to their account using their USER ID (Registration Number) & Password.
The usual time-line for declaration of JEE Main Result is within a month from the date of examination - since JEE Main was scheduled to be held in the month of April - the result would have been declared in the month of May.
Update: Considering the rescheduling of JEE Main 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic - the usual method of declaring the exam result within a month is expected to be revised and the results are expected to be released sooner - probably within the month of September 2020 as there has already been a delay of four-five months in conducting the JEE Main Examination from April to September.
The JEE Main result will be declared in the online mode on the NTA NEET Website.

JEE-Main 2020 Counselling Process
Step 1: Registration – Visit the official website of JoSAA and register to participate by filling the required fields in the JEE Main counselling.
Step 2: Choice filling & locking – In this step, candidates are required to lock their course and college as per the preference.
Step 3: Seat Allotment for JEE Main 2020 – The candidates will be allotted seats according to the ranks obtained in JEE Main 2020.
Step 4: JEE Main 2020 counselling fees payment – Once the seat allotment procedure is completed, candidates need to pay the counselling fees and confirm their seats. Payment can be made through Net Banking/e-Challan. The attestation of documents will be done at the reporting centre. A provisional admission letter will be issued to the candidates after document verification and fee payment.
Step 5: Document verification at the reporting centre – Candidates are required to carry their original documents and report to the allotted JoSAA 2020 reporting centre.
Step 6: Final reporting to the designated institute or college – It is the final step of the JEE Main 2020 counselling process. The candidates are required to report to their allotted institute and pay the remaining fees within the allotted time period without making any delay.
